1. Determine the process plan and processing route according to the requirements of the part drawing, the blank and the processing conditions of the previous process

 1) Taking the processed φ12+0.005mm inner hole and the left end face as the process benchmark, use the long mandrel and the left end face to position the workpiece, clamp the right end face of the workpiece with a pressure plate and a nut, and clamp it with a three-jaw self-centering chuck Mandrel, rough and finish machining in one clamping.

2) Sequence of turning steps of CNC lathe

① Rough turning the outer circle. The step cutting route is basically adopted, which is convenient for numerical calculation during programming. The arc part can be cut by the concentric circular arc method, which is cut in four cuts; the conical part is cut in three cuts by the similar inclined line turning cone method.

 ② Finish turning the outer contour surface from right to left.

 2. Choose machine tools

  According to the requirements of the part drawing, the economical CNC lathe can be selected to meet the requirements. Therefore, the CJK6136D CNC horizontal lathe is selected.

 3. Choosing a CNC Lathe Tool

  According to the processing requirements, considering that the tool does not interfere with the workpiece during processing, a sharp-pointed cylindrical turning tool (or an indexable external cylindrical turning tool) can be used to complete rough and fine machining.

 4. Determine the cutting amount

 The specific value of cutting amount should be determined according to the performance of the machine tool, related manuals and actual experience, see the machining program for details.

 5. Determine the workpiece coordinate system, tool setting point and tool change point
