Grinding processing is widely used and is one of the main methods for precision machining of machine parts. However, due to the high rotational speed of the grinding wheel of the grinder, which is relatively hard, brittle, and unable to withstand heavy impacts, accidental improper operation and crushing of the grinding wheel can cause very serious consequences. Therefore, the safety technology work of grinding machining is particularly important, and reliable safety protection devices must be adopted. The operation should be focused and ensured to be foolproof. In addition, the fine sand and metal particles splashed out from the workpiece of the grinding wheel during grinding can harm the eyes of workers. If workers inhale a large amount of this dust, it can be harmful to their health, and appropriate protective measures should also be taken. Before starting the small grinder, a comprehensive inspection of the machine tool should be carried out carefully, including the inspection of the control mechanism, electrical equipment, and magnetic suction cups and other fixtures. After inspection, lubricate and test the machine to confirm that everything is in good condition before use.

 

When clamping the workpiece, attention should be paid to its alignment and tightness. During the grinding process, the workpiece may become loose and cause serious consequences such as flying out and injuring people or crashing the grinding wheel. When starting work, manual adjustment should be used to make the grinding wheel slowly approach the workpiece, with a small initial feed rate and no excessive force allowed to prevent collision with the grinding wheel. When it is necessary to use a blocking iron to control the reciprocating movement of the workbench, it should be accurately adjusted according to the grinding length of the workpiece, and the blocking iron should be tightened firmly.

 

When replacing the grinding wheel, a visual inspection must be carried out first to check for any external injuries, and then a wooden hammer or stick should be used to strike, ensuring that the sound is clear and there are no cracks. When installing the grinding wheel, it must be assembled according to the specified methods and requirements. After static balance debugging, installation and testing can be carried out. Only after everything is normal can it be used.

 

Workers should wear protective glasses during work, and when trimming grinding wheels, they should be balanced to prevent collisions. Measure the workpiece, adjust or wipe the machine tool after shutdown. When using a magnetic suction cup, the disc surface and workpiece should be wiped clean, tightly pressed, and firmly sucked. If necessary, a blocking iron can be added to prevent the workpiece from shifting or flying out. Pay attention to installing the protective cover of the grinding wheel or the machine tool baffle, and stand on the side past the front of the high-speed rotating grinding wheel.
