Maintenance is a general term for maintenance and upkeep. The difference between maintenance and upkeep mainly lies in the difference in workload. For smaller labor, lower technical requirements, more frequent activities, and equipment completed by workers, it is generally referred to as maintenance. On the contrary, maintenance refers to activities that require a large amount of labor and high technical requirements, and require regular replacement of worn parts or components, with the participation of dedicated maintenance workers. Next, we will introduce the maintenance of the main components of CNC machining centers to you:
(1) Instructions for use and maintenance of ball screw
1. The ball screw is a moving accessory, and it must be lubricated thoroughly to avoid oil loss and dry friction damage to the ball screw. When the machine tool uses high flow cooling, pay attention to increasing the lubrication frequency and flow rate of the ball screw to avoid water rust on the screw.
2. Be careful not to let chips, dust, impurities, and other particles enter the working area of the ball screw, which may cause damage to the screw.
3. Strictly prevent collisions that may cause displacement damage to the ball screw nut return mechanism and affect accuracy, resulting in noise.
4. Do not allow the nut to exceed the limit of travel.
(2) Motor maintenance instructions
1. The main motor (variable frequency motor or dual speed motor) and the driving motor (stepper motor or servo motor) should be protected from moisture. If the motor is flooded, it can cause a short circuit between phases and burn out the motor; The servo motor should be prevented from collision, as collision can cause damage to the servo motor encoder.
2. When equipped with servo motors or variable frequency speed regulation, the alarm information (alarm number) of the servo drive or frequency converter can be used to identify the cause of the alarm and the method of eliminating the alarm, or to contact our company personnel by phone.
3. When using frequency conversion, if the AC power supply is cut off and the digital operator indicator light of the AC motor driver is not turned off, it indicates that there is still high voltage inside the AC motor driver, which is very dangerous. Do not touch the internal circuits and components. The operation should be carried out after 5 minutes of power off.
4. When the machine tool is not in use for a long time, the main power should be cut off, and the machine tool should be ensured to run continuously for 2-3 hours at least once a month.
(3) Main spindle maintenance instructions
1. To ensure the long-term smooth operation and service life of the spindle, users should first warm up the machine after handover to ensure the spindle's service life.
2. When the temperature difference between the spindle and the sleeve is too large, it is easy to cause the spindle bearings to burn out. The temperature setting of the oil cooler must be set according to the temperature in winter and summer.
3. The daily high-speed operation time shall not exceed 1/4 of the daily processing time.
4. It is recommended to maintain the spindle operating speed at the normal operating speed (85% of the spindle's high speed) for processing.
5. At normal operating speed, the continuous running time of the spindle shall not exceed 8 hours. Every eight hours of spindle operation, the spindle needs to slow down to low speed for 1 hour.
6. Blow air into the outer ring of the spindle, with a pressure standard set between 1.2 kilograms per square centimeter and 1.5 kilograms per square centimeter.
7. When using an air gun to blow iron filings when the spindle is not equipped with a tool/handle, extra caution should be taken to prevent iron filings powder/water from entering the spindle cone hole, which may lead to poor spindle accuracy or even damage.
8. The spindle is under normal use, with a one-year warranty for parts and a 1600/hr warranty for bearings. Attention: When running the spindle daily, it is necessary to first confirm whether the air blowing on the outer ring of the spindle is normal.
